Our vision is to ignite social enterprise and build community.

We do this through empowering, equipping and supporting people through skills training, networking, events and projects.

Open Monday – Friday, 9am-2pm – The Quench Café on Churchfields Industrial Estate - Salisbury, serves hearty English breakfasts, delicious lunches, great coffee and famously tasty flapjacks – in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We have high chairs for little ones and baby changing facilities. We also provide buffet catering for events and parties and can deliver to local businesses who place large orders. We are pleased to be able to offer catering packages to customers that hire rooms in our building and are happy to cater for training sessions, meetings etc.

Despite being a thriving business, our Café also acts as a Social Enterprise because we provide free training to work experience students and apprentices. We have received extremely positive feedback from some of the parents and carers of our young volunteers and work experience students who say that the impact their time with us has had is incredible.

Quench Enterprise

Quench Enterprise is an exciting part of the work that we do.

Our building in Salisbury houses a busy office & co-working space where we rent desks to small businesses and individuals, entrepreneurs and start-ups who wish to share in our friendly and inspiring working environment. Our desks are available for a few hours or on a more permanent basis.

Our Quench Enterprise team offer training and mentoring opportunities to young people, budding entrepreneurs, local social enterprises and start-up companies that need a confidence boost and some helpful direction. Through various courses and support sessions, we connect local businessmen and women, provide opportunities for peer-to-peer support and we welcome established and successful entrepreneurs to teach and advise on various subjects relating to business.

Quench Community

Quench Community is the area of our work that is hardest to define. It is about recognising a need and working with volunteers and our Quench team to meet that need as best we can. This area of our work aims to build a community where people of all ages can spend time with us or in our building and know that they are valued, respected and see - all in a non-judgemental, nurturing and supportive environment.

Our Community work involves a number of short and longer term projects, from working with young people facing difficult circumstances to creating events that welcome the elderly to our building for film showings and craft mornings - in an effort to combat loneliness.

In the near future we hope to be able to offer mentoring to young people looking for advice and guidance in how to achieve their life goals and find direction for their futures. We also would like to provide a chaplaincy service to the businesses on Churchfields Industrial Estate, offering emotional support to those that may be facing difficulties.

Our Building - The Impact Centre

Our building - The Impact Centre - has a variety of rooms that are ideal for events, business meetings and conferences. Our main hall is suitable for up to 100 people and boasts a projector & large screen, PA equipment, chairs and tables. Our conference room can fit 25 and has a large wall-mounted computer/television screen and whiteboard. We also have a small kitchenette upstairs, a co-working office and a small meeting room (maximum 4 people or ideal for one-to-one appointments).

The Quench Cafe has highchairs for children and baby-changing facilities. We have male/female and disabled toilets downstairs and a unisex toilet upstairs.

We aim to create a comfortable and welcoming space to encourage and inspire businesses and individuals. Click 'HERE' to find out more about hiring a room in our building.

Coming to Salisbury 13/11/19: SOUP

The concept started in Detroit, now Soup events are popping up all over the world. Soup is a community seed-funding dinner that is built to connect people and empower individuals who are thinking creatively about their community; solving problems and creating opportunities.

The concept is simple: Pay what you want, eat soup and listen to 4 project ideas pitched by pre-selected individuals. The ideas can be about anything but must be for the benefit of members of the community of Salisbury and the surrounding area. The audience then votes for the idea they like best and the winner goes home with the money that was taken on the door to kickstart their project.

Have you got an idea?

SOUP! is a great way to raise money, tell people about your work, build community support and get connections to local resources that can help you carry out your project.

All individuals, clubs and organisations, schools, social enterprises, CIC's, not-for profit organisations and charities are eligible to apply.

Pitch applications close on Friday 4th October.

All projects selected to pitch will be offered 90 minutes free 1:1 coaching to help them develop and present their idea.

The winning project will receive a further 90 minutes free 1:1 coaching on a topic of their choice such as marketing or finance, plus ongoing access to enterprise seminars and workshops hosted by Quench.
