A practical 10 week course in community entrepreneurship and turning ideas into reality. Students learn by setting up a community enterprise in a team that tackles a local need on behalf of a local not-for-profit.
Young adults 18-35 who learn best by doing, are up for a challenge, and want to gain a qualification through the University of West of England, Bristol and the ILM. We run this in partnership with Edventure Frome.
Every Wednesday afternoon we open our meeting room from 1pm - 3pm to anyone running a social enterprise or profit for purpose business locally. As entrepreneurs we often struggle to find time in the week to think about strategy, goals, development, etc.
We want to give you space to do this, in a stimulating environment and with other entrepreneurs who can support, encourage and provide feedback.
No need to book - just turn up, work in our space and meet other like minded people.
Through our social enterprises, we are able to offer volunteering for young people looking to gain experience and offer apprenticeships. We are always looking for volunteers and recruit on a rolling basis. If you are interested please contact us.
Everyone who comes to Quench is equally valued and supported, and we aim to mentor each young person through their journey of learning, innovating and engaging in social action.
Innovia is a 12 week support programme for Social Entrepreneurs. We run this in partnership with Rlabs, Cape Town. The programme includes weekly training, a hot desk in our co-working space, peer to peer support, advice from experts and mentors and a final pitch to potential investors/funding bodies.
By the end of the programme you will have created your business plan, tested your product/idea, gained skills and developed a mindset for social innovation.
